Wellness month - revisited

A few weeks ago, I posted about August being National Wellness Month, and set forth a challenge for everyone to add a new, healthful habit to your routine.  As for myself, I decided to begin daily mantra and journaling in order to improve my own mental health.  As August comes to  a close, let's take a moment to reflect on what we've accomplished this month.

How have the past 4 weeks gone for you?  Is your new habit easier to accomplish each day as it becomes more familiar?  Have you noticed any benefits (physical, mental, spiritual)? Maybe, like me, your consistency has been imperfect - and that's okay.  But can you identify any commonalities between the days when you've struggled to meet your goal?  Weekends are hardest for me, because I'm always trying to catch up from the work week while also spending time with family and friends - and things like journaling seem less vital.  One thing that has helped has been a mala necklace; I made mine myself (and have the blister from hand-knotting to prove it), and wearing it reminds me to use my mantra in moments of self-doubt, and to remain grounded.  The visual/tangible reminder has really helped me, and I urge you to try something similar if you haven't before.  If you'd like a mala, reach out to me - I'm happy to discuss stones. cording colors, and even available to make one for you.
